• Love Actually is a popular holiday film
  • The movie stars Hugh Grant
  • Learn more about a scene he really didn't like filming

It has been 20 years since Love Actually came out and the movie became an instant Christmas classic. Hugh Grant, who plays the British Prime Minister "David" in the romantic comedy, has since opened up about one specific (and iconic!) scene that he really dreaded shooting.

In the BBC documentary (Hugh Grant: A Life on Screen) the Englishman describes how he never wanted to rehearse the famous dance scene, in which he as the Prime Minister hops and dances around 10 Downing Street.

Love Actually star Colin Firth: Hugh Grant made "a terrible fuss"

In a clip from the documentary, Grant says that beforehand he thought that the dreaded scene had "the power to be the most excruciating scene ever committed to celluloid".

Grant's co-star Colin Firth and Love Actually director Richard Curtis also appear in the doc and Firth remembers that day of shooting exactly: "I do remember him making a terrible fuss about the dance."

Curtis chimes in with another fun fact about Hugh Grant: "Hugh is the least musical person in the world. He's only got two records in his record collection in they're both Godspell."

We are certainly glad that he managed to pull the scene off and we are in agreement with Colin Firth, who calls Grant's dance the "highlight of the film".
