Im, who is reportedly worth millions, has personal connections to two major businessmen in South Korea. Her father was the chairman of Daesang Group, a top food company in Korea, for which she now serves as vice chairwoman, per The Korea Times.
Before dating the Squid Game actor, the 44-year-old Im was formerly married to the billionaire chairman of Samsung, Lee Jae-yong, with whom she had one child. She and the Samsung head divorced in 2009.
