Fans were left wondering and waiting when superstar Ruby Rose stepped down as Batwoman after season 1 ended and now the wait is over!

Javicia Leslie Is The New Batwoman!

She has landed! The CW has just announced that Javicia Leslie is the new Batwoman! The Family Business actress is over the moon to have earned the role. Ruby Rose had played "Kate Kane", "Bruce Wayne's" cousin doing her best to protect Gotham and serve as much justice as she can. Javicia will be playing "Ryan Wilder" who fills in "Kate's" shoes when she disappears from the city. "Ryan" is a lovable, goofy, messy, and untamed vigilante who used to be a drug runner, essentially the opposite of put together and uber-wealthy "Kate".

Now "Ryan," who lives in her van with her plant who lives somewhat "Robin Hood" style is an extremely skilled fighter, an out lesbian, intense, and unpredictable. Fans are so excited to get to know their new Batwoman!

Javicia excitedly said, "I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community." She even added: "For all of the little black girls dreaming to be a superhero one day... it's possible!"

Javicia Leslie attends the 'Bombshell' New York Screening on December 16, 2019.
