Ella Travolta will soon be arriving on the big screen.

The 20-year-old daughter of John Travolta and the late Kelly Preston was just cast in the lead role of Get Lost, an upcoming film that reimagines Alice in Wonderland in a modern-day story.

Ella Travolta cast in first lead movie role: Get Lost

Deadline confirmed the casting news this week and Travolta celebrated the accomplishment Wednesday on Instagram. "I am very pleased to announce this opportunity that has come to me and I am looking forward to working with Daniela Amavia and Michael Mendelsohn on this exciting new project!" she wrote.

Travolta will play "Alicia/Alice" in Get Lost, a reimagining of Lewis Carroll's novel that features the twist of "the creatures turned into human characters," according to Deadline. It will be director and former actor Daniela Amavia's second film, after the 2015 indie movie A Beautiful Now.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston's daughter is an actor

Ella Bleu Travolta, who turns 21 next month, has had only two prior screen roles, both coming in films in which her famous father, John Travolta, acted: Eye for an Eye (2019) and Old Dogs (2009).

Ella and her father also made headlines earlier this year when they recreated Travolta's dance moves from Grease in a Super Bowl ad. Ella is the only daughter of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who tragically died of breast cancer last year at age 57.
