Hawaii Five-0 is saying goodbye to one of it's beloved cast members. Jorge Garcia first came onto the show in season 4 as consultant "Jerry Ortega" and now he will be leaving the show.

Jorge Garcia is exiting Hawaii Five-0, the CBS procedural drama. After a cliff-hanger ending in season 9, the recent season 10 premiere of the show revealed that Garcia's character "Jerry" was shot by "Azra Hassan" (Yasmin Dar). This now means that "Jerry" will be leaving the show to recuperate.

Garcia could return for occasional appearances

A representative of Garcia's has not yet responded to the exit decision. Though Jorge Garcia will not be a series regular anymore, it is possible that he returns for occasional appearances on the show in the future.

Jorge is grateful for his time on Hawaii Five-0

"I’m grateful for my time on Hawaii Five-0,” Garcia said. "I loved getting to return to the islands, and creating a character that connected with so many people. Playing Jerry was a blast, and I look forward to popping in again to play with my TV ohana." We will miss seeing Garcia as "Jerry Ortega" on our screens every week and we know that his cast members will too, including Meaghan Rath!
