The ninth season of NCIS: L.A was particularly tense and viewers loved it! Hetty, played by Linda Hunt (73), resigned before being mysteriously kidnapped in Vietnam.

Just when we thought all was lost, Callen (Chris O'Donell, 48), Sam (LL Cool J, 50) and the others were able to rescue her, but now fans are worried about Hetty again! She hasn't appeared in the new series once...

NCIS: L.A.: This is why Hetty is missing in season 10

Callen gets a mysterious call from Hetty at the beginning of series 10, but Hetty does not appear after that. Just as NCIS fans are scared that Gibbs might be leaving the show, so, too, are fans of the L.A. version worried that Linda Hunt might leave the series.

Why some fans are worried that Gibbs might be leaving NCIS

But, there's no need to worry (at least not right now)! Linda Hunt is not leaving NCIS: L.A. and has now revealed why she has so mysteriously vanished from our TV screens.

The seventy-three-year-old actress told TV Line that she was involved in a car accident during the summer and her injuries hindered her from being able to work. Linda thanked her fans for all the support she had received in the following statement. "I first want to say how much I appreciate the outpouring of support from the NCIS: Los Angeles fans following my car accident this summer”.

She went on to add, "Though I had hoped to return to playing Hetty at the start of the season, I had to take some additional time to recover. I look forward to returning later this season".

Fans are already excited about Hetty's return. Hopefully, she'll be back in time for Kensi and Deeks's wedding!
