It looks like "Zack Morris" is coming back to Bayside High. According to EW, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played the character from 1989 until 1993, is joining the Saved by the Bell reboot. Hollywood Reporter is even reporting that the deal with the actor is already final.

Tiffani Thiessen, who played "Zack's" girlfriend "Kelly Kapowski", is apparently also in talks to reprise her role in the reboot. Thiessen and Gosselaar will be joining Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, who have already agreed to return as "A.C. Slater" and "Jessie Spano", respectively.

Saved By The Bell: The reboot will air on Peacock

Gosselaar will apparently appear in three episodes of the reboot, which will air on NBCUniversal's new streaming service Peacock. His appearances on the show are limited, since he's also starring in ABC's mixed-ish and the shows are produced by two different studios.

The reboot deals with the fallout of "Zack's" work as the Governor of California - he gets into hot water because he's closing too many low-income high schools in the state and wants to send the affected students to the highest performing schools like Bayside High.

A release date for the Saved By The Bell reboot has not yet been announced. NBCUniversal's new streaming service Peacock is launching in April 2020.
