"Kensi" and "Deeks", played by Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen, are the dream couple in NCIS: L.A. Many fans would certainly like to see the two as parents, but according to showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, that is not so easy. He told the American online magazine TVLine that this topic had already caused a lot of headaches for the scriptwriters.

"That's been a big dilemma for us as writers, because you don't want to do something that makes your characters look negligent," NCIS: L.A. boss Gemmill told the magazine. "Would it be a wise decision to have a child when both of you are putting your lives in jeopardy every day? That's a legitimate concern for the two of them, and something that we will have to explore as we move forward," he said.

It has not yet been clarified whether "Kensi" could ultimately become pregnant herself or whether there would be an adoption. In the interview, the showrunner said that it was also a difficult decision. "Whether Kensi is able to get pregnant or whether it's going to be an adoption, that's a tricky one because you want them to be happy, but you also don't want them to look irresponsible."

Two NCIS veterans recently left the show. "Nell" (Renée Felice Smith) and "Eric" (Barrett Foa) turned their backs on the team to build a future together in Tokyo.
