Medalion Rahimi, who has recurred on NCIS: L.A. since last season, is going to become a permanent cast member on the popular crime drama. The news was first reported by Deadline on February 5.

Until now, Rahimi has appeared as "Special Agent Fatima Namazi" a total of nine times and the cryptological technician seems to have become an asset that the showrunners at CBS do not want to lose any time soon.

NCIS: L.A. Season 11: "Fatima" is now a series regular

"We were excited to work with Medallion last season and are thrilled to have her now joining us as a season regular on NCIS: Los Angeles," said executive producer R. Scott Gemmill.

Before Rahimi joined the NCIS: L.A. team as "Fatima", she starred in the ABC series Still Star-Crossed and in the independent film She's In Portland. Following the announcement by CBS, she posted a great clip to her Instagram account!

The news comes after it was recently announced the NCIS alum Scottie Thompson would also also join the cast of NCIS: L.A. in season 11.

The next episode of NCIS: L.A.'s season 11 airs Sunday, February 16 at 9pm (8 central) on CBS.
