In the series, set decades before the epic of the "Lannisters" and the "Targaryens," Considine will play the king "Viserys Targaryen," an heir chosen by the knights of Westeros to succeed the old king "Jaehaerys Targaryen" in the Great Council of Harrenhal.

Described by the production as a kind and decent man, King "Viserys" will be one of the lead characters in the story, based on the Martin's novel Fire & Blood.
