Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen are set to reunite on-screen for the first time in years! As People shares, it was announced on Tuesday that Byrne and Rogen will be co-starring in the upcoming Apple TV+ comedy, Platonic. Here's what we know so far!

Byrne and Rogen teaming up with Neighbors director again

Byrne and Rogen last starred together in 2014's Neighbors and 2016's Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, so it's been a while since they shared the screen! They'll also be reteaming with director Nick Stoller, who directed the duo in both installments of the frat film franchise.

According to a release obtained by PeoplePlatonic will see Byrne and Rogen play two ex-best friends who come into one another's lives again as adults, and decide to try and work on fixing their relationship. "Over the course of the 10-episode comedy, their friendship becomes increasingly consuming and destabilizes their lives," the outlet shares.

Byrne has another Apple TV+ series in the works

Byrne and Rogen will not only be co-starring in Platonic— they'll also be co-executive producers for the project! And as People mentions, Byrne has another fun show in the works for Apple TV+ as well. That's because actress is set to star in Physical, which is "a dramedy about a housewife discovering the world of aerobics in 1980s Los Angeles."

The news that Byrne and Rogen will be reuniting on the small screen for Platonic is the latest in a trend of Apple TV+ seeking out big-name Hollywood stars to headline their shows! Back in August, it was announced that Robert Downey, Jr. will be starring in an untitled detective series for the streaming platform, while Chris Evans and Michelle Dockery starred in this year's gripping crime dramaDefending Jacob.
