The network, Lifetime, has given the go ahead for a four-part documentary series titled Surviving Jeffrey Epstein is scheduled to be released this summer. The announcement was made during the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Saturday, according to EW.
Surviving Jeffrey Epstein: Four-part docuseries
The docuseries will be directed by Anne Sundberg and Ricki Stern and produced by Robert Friedman’s Bungalow Media + Entertainment. This isn't the first television project to take on the scandal. "An adaptation of journalist Julie K. Brown’s book on Epstein from Adam McKay is in the works at HBO," according to EW.
Jeffrey Epstein died in prison a month after his arrest
Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 following the accusations of sex trafficking of underage girls and sexual assault. The billionaire businessman was found dead in his New York jail cell a month after his arrest. Many believe it to have been suicide, although this continues to be largely debated.
