The Bachelorette season finale was on Tuesday, and it had a happy ending for new "Bachelorette" Tayshia Adams! As Entertainment Tonight shares, the final episode of season 16 of The Bachelorette saw Adams break things off with one contestant— then get proposed to by another!

Adams ends one relationship and gives out final rose

Adams had previously been seeing Ben Smith, but realized after one final date with him that her true affections lay elsewhere. "I know what my heart wants, and it's not Ben," Adams explained. "I wish my heart was with him, but it's just not."

Not long after Adams had called things off with Smith, she decided to give the final rose to Zac Clark. That's when Clark decided to make his own heart known to the season 16 "Bachelorette," getting down on one knee as he popped the question to her!

"Bachelorette" says fiancé Clark "is my person"

The Bachelorette's newest contestant found herself on the receiving end of a beautiful speech about how happy she made Clark. "The night of my hometown, you walked in, and my parents got to see that smile on my face, you gave them the best gift you could ever give them," he told Adams during the emotional moment. They haven't seen me that happy in years. You did that."

"And the other night when we were talking, you spoke about this idea of someone choosing you, and I can't picture another day, another moment without you in my life," Clark continued. "And if you'll let me, I'm going to choose you right now. I'm going to choose you tomorrow morning. I'm going to choose you next week and next year. I'm going to choose you forever, because I love you."

Adams enthusiastically accepted the proposal from Clark, making their new relationship status as an engaged couple official! "Yes a thousand times!" she shouted. "I love you!"

In an interview with People, Clark said that he's committed to Adams for "forever," and Adams affirmed that she couldn't be more sure of her choice. "Zac is my person," she explained. "And this just feels so right." Congratulations to Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark on their engagement!
