Josh O'Connor Spills Who The New Prince Charles Is!
Josh O'Connor was just speaking with GQ Hype spoke about how he no longer wanted to portray the future King. He said, "I absolutely loved it. But the reason I wanted to be an actor is to play different people."
It is known by The Crown fans that the actors that take over a Royal role ask for advice from the previous actor or actress that held the role. When asked if he would do the same, Josh explained, "Playing that character has brought me a lot of joy. But it's lovely to come away and go, 'Great. Now hand it over to Dominic West'... But if Dominic West came to me asking me for advice, I'd laugh him off. I'd be like, 'Dom! You're Dominic West!'"
There had been rumours circling that The Wire actor Dominic West was being eyed for the role and now Josh has just confirmed the rumors! Josh O'Connor told Brief Take, "I've worked with Dom a few times and he's brilliant."
Season 5 is set to be incredible considering Imelda Staunton will be playing Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce will be Prince Philip, Lesley Manville will be Princess Margaret, and Elizabeth Debicki will be taking over as Princess Diana.
