'The King of Queens'

The popular TV show, The King of Queens, aired from 1998 until 2007. The story revolves around the overweight UPS driver "Doug" who is married to the legal secretary "Carrie". Her father, "Arthur", eventually moves into their basement. The main topics of the series are "Doug's" weight issues, the marriage between "Doug" and "Carrie" and their nagging housemate "Arthur". In The King of Queens, "Carrie Spooner" actually has a sister named "Sara". Lisa Rieffel played this role in the first six episodes. Initially "Carrie's" sister even was meant to be one of the lead roles. However, after the sixth episode, "Sara" was completely written out of the series. Later on, "Carrie" is even called a only child every once in a while.
