Up first, the title role of "The Mandalorian" is played by Pedro Pascal. He's best known from other hit TV series, including the role as DEA agent "Javier Peña" on Narcos (2015-2017). The Chilean-American star also acted on Game of Thrones as "Prince Oberyn Martell" in seven episodes.

A Rocky star is part of the Mandalorian cast
Carl Weathers also acts on the Mandalorian, filling the role of "Greef Karga." The actor had his big break in the 1970s when he starred in the four Rocky films as boxer "Apollo Creed."
Since then, he's mainly worked in TV guest roles, in shows such as Chicago Justice and Law & Order: SVU. He also had a notable role in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore.

Gina Carano is a Mandalorian actress
On The Mandalorian, Gina Carano plays the part of "Cara Dune," a former Rebel who becomes an ally of "The Mandalorian." The ex-MMA fighter has been acting since 2009, making prominent appearances in Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and Deadpool (2016).

Meanwhile, Giancarlo Esposito plays "Moff Gideon" in the Star Wars spin-off. The actor has already been involved in many projects in his career, but he's probably best known from Breaking Bad, where he played drug lord "Gus Fring." From 2012 to 2014, he also acted as "Tom Neville" in Revolution.

The Mandalorian features a legendary German director-actor
The Mandalorian cast even contains a legendary German talent. The Munich-born director and actor Werner Herzog appears in three episodes as "The Client."
The documentary filmmaker and occasional actor—with a famous Bavarian accent—has enjoyed a long career and was behind the camera on famous titles including Grizzly Man and Aguirre, the Wrath of God. He also staged operas in Italy and at the Bayreuth Festival.

The Mandalorian is another successful offshoot from the Star Wars universe. At the 2020 Emmys, the series received a nomination in the Best Drama category — but it walked away empty-handed on awards night, unfortunately.
The latest Star Wars films (The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) continue to generate enthusiasm and belong to them the 20 highest grossing films of all time. The Mandalorian's "Baby Yoda" has also been a fan-favourite who's only grown the popularity of the TV series and franchise. Season 2 is airing now.
