'This Is Us' has become one of the most relatable shows on television

This Is Us is arguably one of the most relatable American comedy-drama series on television today. From it's emotional impacts to real-life content, this show has something in it for everyone. 

This Is Us is an American comedy-drama series that first aired on NBC on September 20th, 2016. Created by Dan Fogelman, This Is Us captivates its audience by taking them through the trials and tribulations of the "Pearson" family. In fact, This Is Us might be one of the most influential, emotional and relatable shows on television today. Rotten Tomatoes stated that the show, "featuring full-tilt heartstring-tugging family Drama, This Is Us will provide a suitable surrogate for those who have felt a void in their lives since Parenthood went off the air."

With an incredible cast consisting of Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Sterling K. Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson to name a few, This Is Us embarks on a journey through the years going back and fourth between different time frames. We are taken through the lives of the "Pearson" family from when "Jack Pearson" (Milo Ventimiglia) and "Rebecca Pearson" (Mandy Moore) meet, to the adult lives of their three children "Kevin" (Justin Hartley), "Kate" (Chrissy Metz) and "Randall" (Sterling K. Brown). 

'This Is Us'

It is the incredible story line that makes This Is Us stand out to millions of viewers in that there is a story, situation, or feeling in the show that everyone can relate to. With the constant flow of emotion, we feel connected to every member of the "Pearson" family and everything that they have been through. We feel their pain and their happiness. We cry when they cry and laugh when they laugh.

From the hardships of pregnancy, losing a baby, the difficulties of marriage, the innocence of true love, sibling bonding (or not), loss of a parent, discovering one's identity, and dealing with all kinds of personal issues, this show really does have something that everyone can relate to in their lifetime. 

With season three now airing on NBC, This Is Us has been nominated for numerous awards over the course of the last two years. If you haven't already been watching, we highly suggest adding This Is Us to your watch list. This show is sure to take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride, so make sure to have your tissues handy.
