Michael Landon, Karen Grassle and Melissa Gilbert stood in front of the camera for many years together. And they made for one of the most memorable partnerships in television history! Little House on the Prairie was not filmed in the Minnesota village of Walnut Grove, a village from 1871, where the author of the books on which the series is based, Laura Ingalls Wilder, spent part of her childhood.

So, where is the set located? Most of the scenes were filmed in the Simi Valley, California, several hundred kilometers away. A popular film set, the ranch has been featured in many productions. Talk about a great location! Other well-known series such as Bonanza or Dallas were shot there also...
