As a child, Lindsay Lohan (35) had her breakthrough with the film The Parent Trap. This was followed by other teen films such as Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, which has turned into cult film. In the early 2000s, Lindsay was one of the most sought-after "It" girls in Hollywood. Unfortunately, her image started to deteriorate when one scandal led to another...

Lindsay Lohan has been seen on screen from time to time since then, but she hasn't been able to land any big roles. This year, the 35-year-old finally got a leading role once again.

Lindsay Lohan: Completely changed in new Netflix film

Lindsay Lohan shares a first look at her new Netflix film on Instagram. It is a Netflix Christmas film that is still untitled, however, Lohan plays the main character and is hardly recognizable in the teaser.

Lindsay actually looks almost like she used to when she was in front of the camera for her teen films. Did her little break from Hollywood do her so much good? In any case, the actress is beaming and seems to be really happy about her new role.

The 35-year-old captioned the photo: "Back at work and couldn't be happier!" This is pretty clear just by looking at her smile in the photo! Other stars are also happy about the revival of their acting career. Jonathan Bennet commented "You are the superstar of superstars," and actress Diane Keaton celebrated her return with many clapping hands emojis.

It will take a while before we actually get to see Lindsay Lohan in her new film. The Netflix flick won't premiere until Christmas next year. Maybe Lindsay will provide us with a few more details by then!
