Annabel Schofield Shaped London’s 1980s Style

In the early 1980s, Schofield became an integral figure in London’s vibrant fashion world. Rather than pursuing careers in Paris or Milan, she firmly established herself in the creative melting pot of the British capital.

In a 2012 interview, she fondly reflected on that era, describing London as a global style leader fueled by the New Romantics movement, the fading of punk, and designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Katharine Hamnett, she told People magazine. Signed to the Take Two agency, she graced hundreds of magazine covers and worked with major brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Rimmel, Revlon, and Boots No. 7.

From 'Dallas' to 'Solar Crisis': The Move to Hollywood

Born on September 4, 1963, in Llanelli, Wales, Schofield grew up in a film-oriented family. Her father, John D. Schofield, was a British film production manager who worked on notable films including 'Romancing the Stone,' 'Jerry Maguire,' and 'As Good as It Gets.'

At the height of her modeling career, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting. In the cult series 'Dallas,' she portrayed Laurel Ellis in 12 episodes alongside Larry Hagman’s iconic J.R. Ewing. Her film credits also included 'Solar Crisis' with Charlton Heston, 'Dragonard,' and 'Eye of the Widow.'

Producer, Author, and Creative Collaborator

Later in her career, Schofield moved behind the camera, working in production roles on films such as 'The Brothers Grimm,' 'Doom,' and 'City of Ember.' In 2010, she founded Bella Bene Productions in Burbank, where she developed commercials and creative projects in music and fashion as an executive producer.

She collaborated with director and graphic designer Nick Egan, known for creating visual concepts for bands such as The Clash, Duran Duran, and Oasis, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She also worked with renowned photographers including Ellen von Unwerth and Michael Muller, and produced a 3D campaign for Guerlain featuring Angelina Jolie alongside Will Camden.

In her semi-autobiographical novel 'The Cherry Alignment,' Schofield reflected on her life as a model and actress in the 1980s. She dedicated the book to her late friend and 'The Brothers Grimm' colleague Heath Ledger.

Annabel Schofield is survived by her mother. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Amanda.
