Prince William and Princess Kate have decided to move to a new home with their three children, Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10) and Prince Louis (7). The move will take the family near Windsor, to a property called Forest Lodge, which is located in Windsor Great Park.

A new beginning in Windsor

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed this to 'Page Six' on August 16: "The Wales family will be moving later this year." The move comes after the couple moved to Adelaide Cottage in Berkshire in 2022 to be closer to their children's school, Lambrook School.

An insider told The Sun: "Windsor has become their home. However, over the last few years while they have lived at Adelaide Cottage there have been some really difficult times. Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter. It's an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind."

The move to Forest Lodge is seen as a long-term decision. Unlike Adelaide Cottage, the couple plan to use Forest Lodge as their "forever home".

Kate's fight against cancer

While staying at Adelaide Cottage, Kate was diagnosed with cancer last year. In January, she underwent major abdominal surgery in London, which was originally thought to be non-cancerous. However, after the operation, tests revealed cancer cells.

After months of intensive chemotherapy, the Princess finished her treatment in September. Despite finishing last year and announcing her remission in January, Kate continues to struggle with the challenges of post-treatment recovery. So moving into a new realm is a real fresh start for Kate and her family.
