When you think of James Bond, names like Daniel Craig or Sean Connery immediately come to mind. In the new movie, No Time to Die, Lashana Lynch is making history as the first black woman to play such a big role in the famous franchise. Let's take a closer look at the new "00" agent "Nomi"!
Lashana was born in London in 1987 and has Jamaican roots. In 2007, she landed her first job as an actress in the TV series The Bill. Roughly five years later in the 2012 film Fast Girls, she scored her first major role, portraying the athlete "Belle Newman".
By 2019, her fame had reached new levels, as the actress became part of the Marvel universe. At the side of Brie Larson, she played the fighter pilot "Maria Rambeau" in Captain Marvel. Before taking arguably the biggest step of her career in No Time to Die, Lashana was insistent that her role should be as authentic as possible.
