'Angel': The Cast Through The Years

In 'Angel', David Boreanaz played Angel, a vampire with a soul who sought redemption for his past sins by feeding on the blood of animals instead of humans. As a private detective in Los Angeles, he helped people with supernatural problems. His character was known for his mysterious appearance and his struggle with his own vampiric nature.

After his role on 'Angel,' Boreanaz went on to play FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth on the series 'Bones' for 12 seasons, receiving People's Choice and Teen Choice Award nominations along the way. He currently leads the cast of 'SEAL Team' on CBS, where he plays Master Chief Special Warfare Operations Officer Jason "Jace" Hayes.

Charisma Carpenter played Cordelia Chase, a young woman who was initially one of Buffy's popular friends on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. In 'Angel', Cordelia joined the team as a secretary and became an essential part of the group in their fight against supernatural forces. Her character was known for her sarcastic humor and her evolution throughout the series.

Carpenter had a recurring role on The CW's 'Veronica Mars' as trophy wife Kendall Casablancas, and later starred in 'The Lying Game' on ABC Family as Annie Rebecca Sewell. She has also appeared as a guest star on 'Lucifer' and 'Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders', and recently appeared in an episode of '9-1-1'.

August Richards played Charles Gunn, a vampire hunter who was part of Angel's team in their fight against supernatural evil in Los Angeles. Gunn was known for his bravery and skill in fighting supernatural creatures, as well as his loyalty to his friends and community.

Following his role on 'Angel,' Richards played young Richard Webber in two episodes of 'Grey's Anatomy.' He also had recurring roles on ABC's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and Bravo's 'Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce', and starred in ABC's 'Notorious' and 'Kevin (Probably) Saves the World'. He will next be seen in NBC's new series, 'Council of Dads'.

Alexis Denisof played Wesley Wyndam-Pryce in 'Angel', a former vigilante who joined Angel's team as a demonology consultant. Initially, his character was rather awkward and inexperienced, but over the course of the series he became a valuable member of the team. His character was known for his evolution from a fearful librarian to a warrior willing to face any challenge.

Denisof had a prominent performance in the series 'How I Met Your Mother' and appeared in Marvel's 'The Avengers'. He also had roles in 'Grimm', 'Finding Carter' and 'Hooten & the Lady'.

Amy Acker played Winifred Fred Burkle a brilliant scientist who was released from a demonic dimension by Angel's team. Her character brought essential scientific knowledge to the group and developed close relationships with other team members. Fred was known for her intelligence and ability to adapt to difficult situations.

Following his role on 'Angel,' Acker appeared on ABC's 'Alias,' ABC's 'Happy Town,' CBS' 'Person of Interest' and FOX's 'The Gifted.' She also made appearances on 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and 'Grey's Anatomy.' In the latter, she played the sister of the late McDreamy.
