Ariana Grande Plans to Take a Break After Her Tour
According to USA Today, Grande intends to take a break from public life once the Eternal Sunshine Tour comes to an end. In a statement, her team said: "Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour."
The statement added that she is looking forward to finishing the tour in good health before taking a well-earned break from performances and public commitments. It also acknowledged that the constant attention surrounding her has taken a toll. At the same time, Grande described the tour as an incredibly rewarding experience.
London Will Mark the End of the Tour
The final leg of the tour will conclude with a series of performances at London's O2 Arena, where Grande is scheduled to wrap up the tour on September 1. Before that, she will complete the North American leg on August 6, bringing to a close nearly two months of nonstop performances. After months of balancing music, film projects, and intense public attention, the demanding schedule has left little room for rest.
Constant Scrutiny Took Its Toll
In recent months, public discussion about Grande's appearance has intensified. During the promotional tour for Wicked: For Good, both Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Yeoh also found themselves facing speculation about their health on social media.
Grande has previously addressed the issue directly."Commenting on others' looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes or health, or how they present themselves – from what you're wearing to your body, to your face, to your everything – there’s a comfortability that people have commenting on that I think is really dangerous," she said, according to USA Today.
She has also spoken about feeling as though she has been under a microscope ever since she was young, making the decision to step away from the spotlight feel like a necessary pause after an exceptionally demanding year.
