Brad Pitt acquired the property in 1994 and gradually bought up more and more land and properties attached to it.
In one of these houses lived a then recently widowed man in his 70s, to whom Pitt was very charitable.

The neighbour of this widowed man, horror legend Elvira, told 'People': "I know Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died. I can imagine Brad thinking, 'Well, he can live there until he dies, which could happen anytime now'," Elvira jokes.
This took longer than the actor expected. "It was pretty funny because John lived to be 105 years old," reveals Elvira.
Brad Pitt has since sold the property where he used to live with Angelina Jolie and their children, according to 'People'.
