  • THIS is what they had to say

After seven years of a glittering romance, Bryan Tanaka, the suave choreographer, has officially confirmed his split from the pop diva Mariah Carey in a heartfelt Instagram post that's got the internet buzzing! This is bound to tug at the heartstrings of all fans as it's never a nice thing to be alone on New Year's Eve!

A love song ends!

Bryan spilled the tea on Tuesday, revealing that he and the "We Belong Together" songstress have decided to part ways. The comments were very supportive from fans.

"Dear friends and fans," he began, "With mixed emotions, I share this personal update regarding my amicable separation from Mariah Carey after seven extraordinary years together."

Fans are reeling from the news, but Tanaka assures us that their split is as harmonious as one of Mariah's high notes!

Tanaka didn't miss a beat praising Mariah's dedication to her family, including her adorable 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan. "Mariah's commitment to her craft has inspired us during our shared journey," he gushed, asking for privacy and respect during "this sensitive time."

While Tanaka plans to focus on his craft, Carey seems to be thriving this Christmas, according to sources. Despite Tanaka's absence from her 'Merry Christmas One and All!' tour, Mariah is reportedly in full festive mode, celebrating with her twins and already working on her next album.

The couple, who first connected professionally in 2006, was last seen together in March, celebrating Mariah's "anniversary".

The 40-year-old was a former backup dancer for the superstar, and joined her for Mariah's 'The Adventures of Mimi Tour' in 2006. The couple reportedly started dating in 2016, had a brief split the following year, and then they later reunited.

Despite all the turmoil of a breakup, Tanaka had kind words for Carey in his statement.

"Mariah’s dedication to her family and her commitment to her craft have inspired us during our shared journey,” he wrote. “I want to express my love and appreciation for Mariah and her incredible children, whose warmth and kindness have enriched my life in ways words cannot capture."

He also had kind words for his fans and thanked them for "understanding, privacy, and respect" during this sensitive time.

"The outpouring of love and support from fans has been a beacon of strength, and I am extremely grateful for the encouragement that continues to uplift me," he posted.

"I eagerly anticipate continuing my journey, knowing my passion for inspiration, dance, and the creative arts will resonate in the unfolding chapters."
