Michael Ansara was an American-Syrian actor, born on April 15, 1922. He was best known for his portrayal of "Cochise" in 'Broken Arrow' from 1956 to 1958.

Michael Ansara

Ansara also starred in 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century' as "Kane" from 1979 to 1981, as well as in the films 'The Manitou' and 'The Guns and the Fury'.

Overall, he played a number of characters in over 70 movies and appeared in at least 50 TV shows.

Ansara and Eden welcomed a son named Matthew, who tragically died in 2001 following a drug overdose.

However, his marriage with Barbara had ended many years before, in 1974. He then ended up marrying again, this time to actress Beverly Kushida in 1977.

The 'Broken Arrow' star sadly died on July 31, 2013, at age 91, at his Calabasas, California home.

The actor had been battling an Alzheimer's disease diagnosis for a long time, which resulted in complications that caused his death.

Ansara was interred next to his son at Hollywood Hills' Forest Lawn Memorial Park. 

Michael Ansara, best known for portraying Native American characters in a handful of series and films, was a beloved actor who was married to actress Barbara Eden for 16 years.

Unfortunately, the actor passed away in 2013 at age 91.
