American actor Chris Pratt always knew he would be famous. Born June 21, 1979 in Minnesota, Chris didn't know exactly what he wanted to do when he grew up, but his childhood dream was to be famous and make a lot of money. After dropping out of community college and spending years living homeless in Maui, Hawaii, Chris’s dreams finally began to come true in 2000.

Chris Pratt's big break would come when he was waiting tables at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant in Maui. Catching the attention of actress and director Rae Dawn Chong, Pratt was cast in her debut horror film Cursed Part 3. After moving to Hollywood, Chris followed his film debut with a reoccurring role on the television series Everwood as football star "Harold Brighton "Bright" Abbott".

Perhaps the best role of Chris Pratt's career so far came when he was cast as "Andy Dwyer" on hit NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation. Ironically, Chris's role was supposed to be a temporary one, but his humor and personality won over producers to the point they decided to make him a regular. The decision was a wise one and the series went on for seven very successful seasons!

For this next role, Chris Pratt would have to work extremely hard to get it. When Chris first auditioned for 2011 biographical sports drama Moneyball, he was turned down because of his weight. Chris wouldn't take no for an answer though and went on to lose 30 pounds (14 kg) in order to land the role. His months of eating healthy and working out paid off, and directors eventually gave him the part!
