A.J. Cook began her acting career in a McDonald's commercial back in the late 1990s and eventually started to appear in television shows like Goosebumps and Tru Calling, however, she is probably best known for portraying "JJ" in Criminal Minds since 2005, and it seems that her professional career is as successful as her personal life!
The 42-year-old actress reportedly met Nathan Andersen in a film class in Utah in the late 1990s; Nathan is the owner of the clothing line Walter Sky, and after dating for several years they got married in 2001. The couple welcomed two sons, Mekhal and Phoenix, born in 2008 and 2015, respectively, and it seems that they will actually follow in their mom's footsteps because they have actually appeared in Criminal Minds!

A.J. Cook and her husband Nathan have a very strong relationship and usually look pretty happy at red carpet events, however, they have gone through very difficult times, and although they have not talked about them publicly, they often give Instagram updates so their fans can find out a bit more about their personal lives.
The most difficult situation the couple had to deal with was probably the fact that Nathan was diagnosed with cancer, however, according to a recent post on A.J. Cook's Instagram account, he has won the battle and is now cancer-free! Nathan also posted a picture on his Instagram account, showing off a scar on his neck and writing "#cancerfree."
The good news is that both A.J. and Nathan use their social media accounts not only for giving some updates but also for showing each how much they love each other and we just love it!
