Eddie Cochran was born on October 3rd, 1938, in Albert Lea, Minnesota as Ray Edward Cochran and very quickly started taking music lessons and later learned to play the guitar.

In 1952, his family moved out to Bell Gardens, California near Los Angeles and formed a band with a few friends.
