The gorgeous Eva Longoria will land the directing job for Flamin' Hot, Fox Searchlight's biopic about the creator of the spicy Flamin' Hot Cheetos snack, Richard Montanez. The actress reportedly beat out a series of directors for the job due to her authentic approach to depicting the inspiring story of Montanez, a son of a Mexican immigrant who achieved the American dream and became successful in the food industry.

DeVon Franklin will produce the biopic under his Franklin Entertainment label, which is currently under a production deal at Fox. Eva Longoria, who recently starred in Paramount's Dora and the Lost City of Goldcould possibly direct and produce the upcoming Universal's film 24/7 as well.
