Jim Carrey is well-known for his ability to make his audience laugh, but he has also been vocal about his struggle with depression. Although he has never explicitly stated that he has been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), many people associate his behavior with the disorder. In recent years, the actor and comedian has explored the meditative and expressive practice of painting, and he has shared much of his artwork on his Instagram account.

Mikey Welsh, the former bassist of 'Weezer' who passed away, suffered a mental breakdown in 2001 due to drug use, the stress of touring, and undiagnosed borderline personality disorder. In a 2007 interview, he said, “Basically, a lifetime of doing drugs and being undiagnosed as having post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder finally caught up with me when I was 30 years old. At the beginning of a 3-month European tour with 'Weezer', I started slowly falling apart."

Angelina Jolie, the renowned actress, was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder in the 1990s after checking herself into a mental health institution due to experiencing homicidal and suicidal thoughts. Jolie's difficult childhood and strained relationship with her father were well-documented, and she reportedly began self-harming as a child. In interviews, Jolie has shared that motherhood has been a saving grace for her in many ways and has helped her manage her mental health struggles.

While Princess Diana never publicly announced a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder, it is believed by some that she suffered from the disorder. She did speak publicly about her struggles with depression, suicidal thoughts, feelings of loneliness, and self-mutilation. Unfortunately, she never received professional treatment for the disorder.

She believes that while mental illness has been a great tragedy in her life, it has also blessed her with the gift of empathy, allowing her to easily sympathize with others who are dealing with mental health issues.

She was open about her struggles with depression and exhibited symptoms such as anxiety, substance abuse, and unstable relationships. It is believed that she developed the disorder during her time in an orphanage. Tragically, her cause of death was also attributed to an overdose of barbiturates.

Amy Winehouse, the late singer, publicly struggled with addiction, depression, self-harm, and impulsive behavior, all of which are characteristics of borderline personality disorder. After her passing in 2011, doctors speculated that she may have suffered from the condition. 'The Times' newspaper reported: "Doctors believe she was battling borderline personality disorder (BPD), a serious mental illness associated with intense internal pain, mood swings, and addiction."
