Ginger Alden was the last woman Elvis Presley (†42) ever loved. The King of Rock'n'Roll and the then 20-year-old met for the first time in 1977. Elvis was more than two decades older than Ginger, but they connected immediately, "when we met him, he took me aside and said, 'Ginger, you're burning a hole in me'", as Alden revealed in an earlier interview with the German newspaper 'Sueddeutsche Zeitung'.

Ginger Alden found Elvis' body

After only a few months they got engaged and Elvis gave Ginger a huge diamond ring. But it wasn't long until tragedy befell the couple. Ginger Alden found Elvis dead in his bathroom at noon on August 16th, 1977 after he died from cardiac arrest. 

After the death of her fiancé, Alden, who was a window dresser and art student before dating Elvis Presley, moved to New Dort to receive tuition from drama teacher Lee Strasberg (†80), who also taught actors Al Pacino and Dustin Hoffman.

Ginger Alden: Her relationship with Elvis was very short 

Ginger starred in the films 'Living Legend: The King of Rock'n'Roll' (1980) and 'Lady Grey' (1980), in which she played the leading role. Ginger Alden also had various guest appearances in several series including, 'Hollywood Beat' (1985), 'Capitol' (1986) and 'Life Goes On' (1990).

Ginger Alden found love again

Just a few years after Elvis' death, Ginger Alden met her future husband, Ronald Leyser (†61), who tragically died on the 38th anniversary of Elvis's death, on August 18th, 2015. They have one son together. 

In 'Elvis and Ginger' the 66-year-old looks back at the last few months of Elvis's life, including the difficult moments. She confessed in an interview with the 'Sueddeutsche Zeitung' in 2015 that she still can't listen to an Elvis song without crying.
