Miriam Margolyes avoided open heart surgery

The 82-year-old discussed her most recent surgery and expressed her health concerns on the 'Table Manners' podcast. She revealed that she underwent a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation, saying:

"I now have a cow's heart. Well, not the whole heart, but I've had an aortic valve replaced with a cow's aortic valve." This procedure spared her from having to undergo open-heart surgery, enabling her to continue her remarkable journey.
