The death of actress Hayden Panettiere continues to shock fans and those who knew her. Just days after her death at the age of 36, new details about her final hours have emerged. The focus is now on statements from Zach Hickerson, the brother of Brian Hickerson, with whom Panettiere had an on-and-off relationship for years.

The actress died on August 16 in Greenville, South Carolina, just days before her 37th birthday. The latest account offers a distressing glimpse into the hours when attempts were made to save her life.

Zach Hickerson Describes What Happened at the Airbnb

According to TMZ, Zach Hickerson said he had attended church that Sunday and later planned to have lunch with Brian Hickerson and Hayden Panettiere. When he could not reach either of them by phone or text, he drove to their Airbnb in Greenville.

According to his account, he knocked loudly on the door, eventually waking Brian Hickerson. The two then tried to wake Panettiere and realized that the actress was unresponsive.

911 Call and CPR

Zach Hickerson said he immediately called 911 while Brian Hickerson administered Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. The two then performed CPR until firefighters and emergency medical personnel arrived.

“I immediately called 911 and Brian gave her Narcan. We then jointly performed CPR while 911 was on speaker until Fire and EMS arrived,” Zach Hickerson said, according to TMZ.

The two remained with Panettiere as emergency responders arrived and attempted to save her life.

Narcan Raises Further Questions

The mention of Narcan has drawn particular attention because reports had previously indicated that the medication or an applicator was found at the scene. Zach Hickerson’s account provides additional information about what happened during the emergency.

However, the circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death remain under investigation. Questions about the exact cause and circumstances of her death have not all been publicly resolved, and no final findings from the investigation have been released.

“People Deserve the Truth”

Zach Hickerson also spoke about the emotional impact of Panettiere’s death and addressed the speculation surrounding her final hours. He urged people to refrain from making assumptions while the investigation continues.

“The truth will come out as the authorities complete and release additional details from the investigation. And that is important because the people who loved and adored Hayden deserve the truth,” Hickerson said, according to TMZ.

He described the loss as tragic and traumatic. His comments underscore the grief surrounding Panettiere’s death and the desire among those close to her for clarity about what happened.
