Both the Brazilian media company 'R7' and international media such as 'People' report on the horrific find. Jefferson's body is said to have been found by the Brazilian authorities on May 22, after he had been missing for months. The 44-year-old was buried in a wooden chest that was additionally cemented.
Police are working hard to solve the crime
The location of the dead soap star is suspicious. It is said to be a backyard in the city of Campo Grande in a property that belongs to a friend of his. The man is now under investigation.

Machado's lawyer has issued a statement as to how the soap star may have died. It says: "It is with regret that I report the sad news of the death of actor Jeff Machado [...]"
