He claimed he was part of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in Oxford. With his English accent, it worked initially, but as more Brits entered LA, he had to switch tactics and pretend to be American. However, when 'Twilight' came out, trying to maintain an American accent seemed crazy, so he eventually stopped the act.

In a 2016 interview with 'RadioTimes', Chris Hemsworth revealed an interesting fact about his auditions. While most men tend to exaggerate their height, Hemsworth did the opposite. He would lower his actual height, which is 6 feet and three inches, when auditioning for roles that required shorter actors. Luckily, when it came to casting for Thor, his real height of 6 feet and three inches fit the bill perfectly.

He managed to get away with it until he was cast in 'Cowboys & Aliens' (2011), a sci-fi/western film where he had to ride horses. His secret was exposed, and he had to learn how to ride properly.
