Idris Elba has now spoken out in response to the backlash that has been occurring every time that he has been connected to the coveted role of "James Bond".

Idris Elba, who was voted PEOPLE's 'Sexiest Man Alive' last year, has been linked to the role since 2014. The 46-year-old added that he would accept the role if it was offered, but he won't go out of his way to seek it. Current Bond actor Daniel Craig is set to step down from the role after Bond 25 drops in April 2020. A first look teaser for the next installment of the franchise was released recently, and we can't wait for the release in 2020.
