Flashback: Jane Fonda Was Married To These Men!

Jane Fonda, who's 85, is not just a talented actress; she's also had a pretty lively love life. She's been married three times to three different men—Roger Vadim, Tom Hayden, and Ted Turner.

Back in the 1960s, Jane Fonda and Roger Vadim started their love story. Roger was a hotshot screenwriter and director known for movies like 'And God Created Woman,' 'Barbarella,' and 'Pretty Maids All in a Row'. Before Jane, he had been married twice. They tied the knot in 1962, and their daughter Vanessa Vadim came along in 1968. However, things didn't last, and they called it quits in 1973.

“When I was married to Roger, one day, one of his friends said, ‘God, Jane, you’re just like us,’” Jane recalled when talking to British Vogue about how she felt she fit in with Roger and his crew in 2019. “And I took it as a compliment!”

Roger went on to marry two more times after his marriage to Jane ended and they co-parented Vanessa. He passed away of cancer at the age of 72 in 2000.

In the 1970s, Jane Fonda entered into a relationship with Tom, known for his activism. He served as a director at the Peace and Justice Resource Center and later became an author. Before Jane, he had been married once. They tied the knot in 1973, making him Vanessa's stepdad.

Their family expanded with the birth of their son, Troy Garity, in 1973, and the adoption of Mary Williams in 1967. Jane and Tom's marriage continued until 1990. After their separation, Tom married for the third and final time, adopting another son, Liam, before his passing at 76 in 2016.

Jane's third husband was Ted, renowned as the founder of CNN (Cable News Network). Their love story unfolded in the 1990s, culminating in marriage in 1991. Beyond his CNN legacy, Ted played a pivotal role in bringing attention back to the Atlanta Braves and professional wrestling. His philanthropic efforts were evident as he contributed a substantial $1 billion to establish the United Nations Foundation in 1998.

Although Ted had been married twice before Jane, he hasn't entered into marriage again since their divorce in 2001. Besides being the stepdad to Jane's three kids, Ted has five children from his previous relationships. Sadly, in 2018, Ted disclosed that he has been dealing with Lewy body dementia.

She was also romantically involved with her most recent long-term partner, music producer Richard Perry from 2009 until 2017.

Jane Fonda had her share of love over the years, but as she hit her 80s, she decided to stop dating. In a conversation with 'Extra; in May 2018, she joked, "I'm not dating anymore, but I did until a couple of years ago. I'm 80. I've closed up shop down there!"
