The 72-year-old earned her Doctorate in Education back in 2007 and is a teacher by profession. She grew up in Pennsylvania, north of Philadelphia along with her four younger siblings.

Jill met Joe in 1975 and within the span of two years, the couple would get married. In 1981 they would have their first and only child together, Ashley Biden.
