'SNL'

After moving to L.A., Kristen Wiig joined an improv group and landed a role on the The Joe Schmo Show. It was then that she was told to send in an audition tape to Saturday Night Live, where she ended up being accepted into season 31 of the iconic show! She starred in the comedy show from 2005-2012, but appeared in various episodes also in 2013, 2016 and 2020. Additionally, she was nominated six times for Primetime Emmy Awards for her parts in SNL!

'Bridesmaids'

Kristen's biggest film success was in the 2011 comedy film Bridesmaids. The film is centered around her character's misfortunes as her best friend (in real-life and on-screen), Maya Rudolph, is set to get married. In 2017, Kristen portrayed the wife of Matt Damon's character in Downsizing. The film is a science fiction comedy drama in which their characters choose to partake in an experiment in which their bodies will be shrunk.
