Mark is getting real with fans

Hollywood's tough guy Mark Wahlberg gets real about the gritty gripes of filming with Scorsese! On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Oscar-nominee dished out the dirty details of his not-so-smooth sailing on the set of the 2006 Boston crime thriller.

Picture this: Wahlberg, prepping for 'Invincible,' rocking hair extensions that took a grueling eight hours to perfect. Cut to 'The Departed' demands – "Lose the locks, Marky!"

The star was less than thrilled. "I had that weird hair," Wahlberg confesses, but hey, it's all in a day's work for our Hollywood heavy-hitter!

Mark always made his looks a bit of a trademark, but when it came time to work with one of the greatest filmmakers of all times you simply listen and trust!

As Wahlberg recalled, he didn't want to remove the extensions, which he said took eight hours to put in for his other role. "So we had a couple issues," Wahlberg said.

"But, you know, ultimately, I think when I read that particular role, I was like, 'OK, this is a good role. This is an opportunity for me to really go off and have some fun,' " he added.

When it comes to gold statues versus gold stacks, Wahlberg knows where his bread is buttered. "If I have a nice backend, I would rather take the money," he boldly claims. It's not all about the accolades for this actor; it's the cha-ching that makes his heart sing!

Don't be fooled, Wahlberg's still got that fire in his belly. "I always want to be the best," he asserts, likening his approach to that of an athlete, a fighter. It's all about the win for Wahlberg, and he's not afraid to admit it. No sugar-coating here, folks!
