This is sad news for fans of the Polish version of “Married at First Sight”: Adrian Szymaniak has died at the age of 39. According to Promiflash, the reality TV star died from an aggressive brain tumor. His wife, Anita, announced his death on Instagram on September 5.

Her post read: “It is with great sorrow that we announce that Adrian has passed away.” Anita also asked for peace and privacy, as well as time to grieve and say goodbye to him surrounded by his closest family members.

Adrian Szymaniak met Anita in 2018 while filming the third season of the Polish version of “Married at First Sight.” The couple went on to marry on the show and later had two children together.

He spent the final weeks of his life surrounded by his family and received round-the-clock nursing care.

Anita wrote in her farewell message: “In these extremely difficult moments, the most important things for us are silence, closeness and the ability to say goodbye to him with our loved ones” The family also made it clear that the funeral would be a private affair.

Adrian Was Diagnosed With Stage IV Glioblastoma in July 2025

The reality TV star was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma in July 2025. This is one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer. Following the diagnosis, he underwent surgery, followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Despite the treatment, the cancer continued to return. To help cover the cost of additional, privately funded treatment using tumor-treating fields (TTFields), his fans raised the equivalent of more than €582,000. The fundraising campaign was intended to give him access to further treatment.

The Funeral Has Already Taken Place in Żołędowo

The 39-year-old was buried in Żołędowo on Wednesday, where family members and friends gathered to say their final farewell. His close friend Piotr Kęsik also spoke at the funeral service.

“Today we say goodbye to a good man. Adrian was oyful, honest, cheerful, loyal,” he said, according to The Sun.

He also said: “I want to cry, but he probably wouldn't have wanted that.” The emotional words were spoken as loved ones gathered to say goodbye to the father of two.

Fans Raised More Than €582,000 for His Treatment

The amount raised for TTFields treatment highlights the enormous support Adrian received during his illness. Because the therapy had to be paid for privately, fans rallied to help cover the costs.

Despite surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, his condition continued to deteriorate. He spent his final weeks away from the public eye, surrounded by his family.

Following his death and funeral, the focus now turns to his wife Anita, their children, and his closest relatives as they mourn their loss.
