The question refers to an interview the two actors did with Mashable in December. During said conversation they started joking about setting up McConaughey's mother (Mary Kathlene McCabe) and Hugh Grant's father (James Grant) with one another.

Hugh Grant: The date will be "red hot"

"His father's 91, my mother's 88," McConaughey told ET when asked for an update on this match made in heaven. "Yeah, why not? Next week, they're supposed to meet, and we probably won't see them for the rest of the night."

And Hugh Grant added with a wink that the supposed meeting of their parents would be "red hot."

It sounds like these two, and especially McConaughey, are quite confident about their matchmaking skills. We will hopefully get another update soon on this developing story...!

In their new movie The Gentlemen, McConaughey stars as "Mickey Pearson" a London-based drug kingpin busy fighting off his competitors who are trying to take over his cannabis business.

Aside from him and Grant, the movie also stars Michelle Dockery, Henry Golding, Charlie Hunnam and Colin Farrell.

The Gentlemen will be in theatres on January 24th!
