Matthew Perry picked Zac Efron to portray him in a hypothetical movie

In a surprising revelation, Athenna Crosby, an entertainment reporter, has revealed that the late Matthew Perry (54) had expressed his desire to have his life story told on the big screen. The twist? He wanted none other than his '17 Again' co-star, Zac Efron, to play him.

According to Crosby, who was spotted dining with Perry at the Hotel Bel-Air just a day before his tragic demise, the 'Friends' star had a dream. A dream to make a biopic about his life, and he had his eyes set on Efron, who had already portrayed a younger version of him in '17 Again'. Perry believed Efron did a "good job" in the teen movie and could do justice to his life story.

Matthew Perry, known for his iconic role as "Chandler Bing" in 'Friends', was found dead in his Los Angeles home at the end of October, with law enforcement ruling out drugs or foul play. His family expressed their heartbreak, stating that Matthew brought "so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend".
