Many will have estimated the 'Little House on the Prairie' star to be taller. This is partly due to the fact that the actor tried to appear taller in the series. This was revealed by "Nellie Oleson" actress Alison Arngrim in her book 'Confessions of a Prairie Bitch'.
"Michael Landon was small, very small," she recalled. She also reported that he was said to have tricked viewers into thinking he was taller with shoe inserts and props on the 'Little House on the Prairie' set. "In every scene with a different male performer, he was always standing on a staircase or a ladder or something," says Arngrim.
