Ravil Isyanov, a Russian-American actor who appeared in dozens of films and TV series, has passed away.

He lived to be just 59 years old. Isyanov died last month on Sept. 29 at his home in Los Angeles, following a "long illness," Deadline reported today.

NCIS: LA actor Ravil Isyanov dies aged 59

Isyanov's best-known role was probably as "Anatoli Kirkin" on NCIS: LA. The character was a Russian mobster who appeared in seven episodes of the series, including two last season.

"Kirkin" died after taking a bullet meant for "Deeks" (Eric Christian Olsen) in season 12, ending Isyanov's time on the series in 2021 — the actor's most recent role to date.

Actor Ravil Isyanov has died at the age of 59.

A skilled character actor, Isyanov was known for playing Russian roles, as a Russian-American himself. He was born in Voskresensk, Russia, in 1962 and became an actor in the country before later moving to the UK and finally Hollywood in the 1990s.

Over the years, the star appeared on countless series, including guest spots on JAG, Alias, 24, Bones, and both NCIS and NCIS: LA.

Recently, Isyanov had also filled recurring roles on The Americans, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The Last Ship. In film, he acted in Defiance, K-19, and had a small part in GoldenEye.

But sadly an unspecified illness has now taken his life. Isyanov is survived by his wife Erika and their daughter, Deadline noted.
