This week, Pauley Perrette shared a beautiful tribute to her late dad Paul, who died of COVID-19 early this year. "He was my world," she wrote of her father, who passed away at age 85 in January. The tribute came as the former NCIS star added her father's story to a COVID-19 memorial project.

Sadly, Pauley Perrette is one of the countless people to lose a loved one to COVID-19.

Early this year, the former NCIS actress shared the heartbreaking news that her father Paul died of the coronavirus at age 85. Now, Perrette has shared a new tribute to her father in a COVID-19 memorial project.

Faces Of COVID collects and shares "stories of those lost" to the coronavirus. "They were more than a statistic," the project says. Perrette shared her father's story with Faces Of COVID this week.

In the touching tribute, she wrote: "Our beloved daddy. Firefighter, USAF Veteran, preacher, county commissioner, boater, animal lover, joke teller, hug giver… We always held hands even though I'm grown. He was my world."

With the tribute, Perrette included a sweet photo of herself embracing her dad. She also shared the post and added, "Thank You @FacesOfCOVID for adding my beloved daddy to your very important site. God Bless You."

Early in 2021, Perrette kept fans up to date on her father's health, but she devastatingly announced on Jan. 20 that he didn't pull through. "Daddy didn't make it. RIP my beloved daddy," she wrote at the time.

This month, Perrette, 52, also sadly spent her first Father's Day without her dad. She shared an emotional video chatting with fans about her first "fatherless" experience of the holiday.

Perrette starred as "Abby" on NCIS for 15 seasons until her exit from the series in 2018. Since then, she's only appeared on the short-lived series Broke, which was cancelled in season 1 last year.

We're wishing her the best as she and her family continue to mourn their loss.
