• Rapper Nicki Minaj has recently topped the charts again
  • She has been setting trends in the business for years now
  • THIS is the latest record that she has broken

This isn't just any victory, it's historic! The rap goddess now holds the crown as the female rapper with the most Number One albums, snatching the throne with her third chart-topper, following the success of 'Roman Reloaded' in 2012 and the iconic 'Pink Friday' in 2011.

Nicki shows no signs of stopping

But wait, there's more! 'Pink Friday 2' isn't just sitting pretty at the top; it's smashing records with a whopping 228,000 equivalent albums earned in the US in just one week, ending Dec. 14, according to Luminate.

Talk about girl power – this is the largest week for a rap album by a woman in the roaring 2020s! And let's not forget the vinyl aficionados; with 25,000 copies flying off the shelves, Nicki's vinyl game is stronger than ever, marking the biggest week for a rap LP by a woman since electronic tracking began in 1991.

However, with 'Pink Friday 2'’s success, Minaj is now officially the female rapper with the most number one albums on Billboard. Minaj’s original 2010 Pink Friday album and its 2012 'Roman Reloaded' follow-up both reached the top spot on the chart.

Before 'Pink Friday 2', Minaj was tied with Foxy Brown, who sent both her 1997 collaborative album with The Firm and her 1999 solo album Chyna Doll to the top of the charts.

"New Body," a track featuring Minaj that was originally meant to be part of Kanye West's scrapped 2018 album 'Yandhi', leaked online several years ago and instantly became a fan favorite. Last year, in an interview with Hot 106, Minaj dubbed the track as "the hit that got away."

To the surprise of many, "New Body" was featured on the tracklist for Vultures with Ye making a public plea for Minaj to clear her verse before the album’s rumored street date.

Minaj eventually addressed the matter on her Instagram Live and revealed that she will not legally clear her verse, saying, "That train has left the station."

"No disrespect in any way. I just put out a brand-new album,” she told her fans. "Now why would I put out a song that has been out for three years? C'mon guys."

Whether "New Body" will be released, with or without Minaj, remains to be seen. The same may be true for Ye’s 'Everybody,' featuring a Backstreet Boys sample that the artist also reportedly did not clear.

The album isn't just a solo show; it's a constellation of stars with features from Drake, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert, to name a few. The hype was built on the back of three lead singles that had fans going wild, the 2022 hit "Super Freaky Girl," the March banger "Red Ruby Da Sleeze," and the September jam "Last Time I Saw You."

But hold on, because the queen isn't done yet! Nicki's expanding her empire with four more tracks, including a "Beep Beep" remix with none other than 50 Cent.

And if you think that's all, you're in for a treat because come March, Nicki will be hitting the road for a North American tour, starting with a bang in Oakland, California, and wrapping up in Austin, Texas.

So, are you ready to bow down to the reigning queen of rap? Nicki Minaj is not just making music; she's making history!
