Chase, known for his pratfalls on 'Saturday Night Live,' took a spill on a dimly lit part of the stage. His rep quipped to 'People' magazine that is was, "Just a little boo-boo. All good." It seems Chevy's got a Ph.D. in tumbling and it's "like riding a bike again" for him!
In true showbiz fashion, Chase rolled onto the stage in a wheelchair, only to rise to his feet to roaring applause. But the spotlight moment took a twist when he took a nosedive off the stage's edge. Fear not! The comedy veteran was back on his feet in no time, with his wife Jayni Chase by his side, offering a helping hand and a dose of humor to lighten the mood.
In a video shared by TMZ, fans watched in horror as Chevy fell.
Once they had taken their seats, the comedian took a moment to poke fun at his literal slip-up. "Wait, wait my watch is talking to me," he says, raising his smartwatch closer to his face. "It says, ‘I see you’ve taken a great fall.’"
Chase's watch became the unexpected star of the show. Jayni, ever the comedic partner, chimed in, "Otherwise they might send an ambulance," keeping spirits high and ambulances at bay.
According to TMZ, who cited sources close to Chase, the actor fell because he was unable to see where the stage ended due to its bright lights. They noted that Chase was fine and only sustained a bruised knee from the incident.
